The Summit: For More Than Just Mom

Located less than 10 minutes from us is an outdoor shopping experience that the entire family is sure to enjoy. The Summit is home to more than 65 restaurants and stores combined and there always seems to be something new on the way.

The Summit in south Reno has it all.

Is back-to-school shopping on your list of things to do this month? The hot spots to hit for your one-stop-shop for the entire family are Old Navy and Dillard’s.

Other specialty shops located in The Summit, just to name a few, are Apple, SGH Sunglass Hut, Coach and lululemon.

If you want to spruce things up at home, stop into the Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma for makeover ideas and new home furnishings.

Catch a game at Buffalo Wild Wings, (or let him), fill up on all-you-can-eat sushi at Wasabi with some friends or take the whole family in for a slice of pizza at Skipolini’s. If you need a quick sandwich or cup of coffee to keep you energized during your shopping mission, you have the choice of Starbucks or Subway as well.

Head out on the town for date night! Stop by BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse for a cold beer, a tasty appetizer and a delicious meal before catching the newest flick at Century Theatres.

Perhaps you’re in the mood for some alone time. Treat yourself to an entire day of relaxation and pamper yourself. Massages, facials and body wrap treatments are all offered at Spavia. Give yourself that manicure you’ve been wanting for weeks at Legacy Nails and Spa.

It doesn’t have to be all about shopping.

Every third Thursday through the summer is the Sounds of Summer outdoor concert series from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Food trucks show up to it and the concert is free! Every Tuesday and Saturday until October from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. is the local farmer’s market. Load up on local produce, fresh flowers and handcrafted items from Reno artists.
