Rouge Gaming Studio Expands Downtown

Written By: Farah Vitale

Rogue Gaming Studio is expanding it’s office in Reno. The studio is the downtown 50 West Liberty building and is growing from 6,614 square feet to 9,419 square feet. Rogue Gaming creates and builds games for the casino gaming industry. After adding more space, they needed to hire more people on. So now Rogue Gaming Studio has 11 employees and serve local and national clients. They come up with unique concepts, use math for the models, create art and animation and building the game with the software.

Rouge Gaming Studio focuses on personalizing games for smaller casinos.

They make most of their profit by paying attention to the needs of smaller markets, so they stand out in their service. Larger firms like IGT and Scientific Games cannot fit individual needs to smaller casinos. They focus on the large so Rogue can make a profit on the smaller casino. And to best service their clients, that’s exactly how they want to stay, as a small company. But they won’t limit their ability to grow in how they provide their services.

The Reno-Sparks area has enough gaming life to keep their business booming and continuing to grow. President of Rouge Gaming Studio, Patrick Crawford said he’s seen an increase Reno’s gaming life since he started his business in 2012. Before starting his business, Crawford did game design in Las Vegas but chose Reno to start his firm because of the quality of life here. With so many diverse people and different parts of Reno, they’re so many opportunities for growing the gaming market.
