Piezetta Pizza Opens Downtown

Piezzetta Pizza Kitchen is opening in downtown Reno inside the Circus Circus. The owners are Harry and Chris Ilardo, father-son restaurant owners that came more than 2,500 miles to open a pizza place in Reno. They debuted the pizzeria in 2014 in Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino. The Circus Circus is their second location. In this fun new eatery, people can watch their pizza being crafted in the open kitchen. The best part? Your pizza is ready in 3 minutes.
Each pizza is built from three styles of crust, four sauces, six cheeses, and 20 meat and veggie toppings.
There also are seven signature house pizzas (dubbed “chef-inspired”) and build-your-own salads. Be sure to try the classic Pizza Margherita. It’s made with red sauce, house cheese blend, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella. Then topped with fresh basil, sea salt & black pepper after baking. Delish!
There’s also the meat lover’s signature pie. With tons of meatballs, pepperoni, sausage and smoked bacon, it does not disappoint. And if that’s too much meat for you, there’s also Veggie Lovers. My personal favorite is the Chicken and Pesto Pizza with pesto, made with goat cheese, house cheese blend, house roasted chicken, artichokes, roasted red peppers.
Building your own pizza is also another great option and a lot of fun! You can get gluten-free crust (which creates a crispier crust than normal) and even add lamb as a topping, not something you see everywhere! Also try baked-in shaved Parmesan. Yum! Piezzetta’s pizzas are 12 -inches and made for made for one but can certainly be for two.
