Last Minute 4th of July Plans
With the 4th of July creating a long weekend for most this year, the Reno-Tahoe area is a hotspot for events. Check out some of our highlighted happenings for this year’s celebrations:
Star Spangled Sparks, July 4
The Nugget Casino Resort will once again host the region’s longest fireworks display this Independence Day. Setting up in Victorian Square, this free event starts at 4 pm with live entertainment, a patriotic bike parade, craft vendors, and various food and drink options – fun for the whole family! VIP seating is also available.
Fourth of July with Reno Phil, July 4
With Reno being transformed into Artown during the month of July, the 4th is no exception to the festivities. Artowns’s most popular event during the holiday is the Reno Phil concert at Wingfield Park. This year’s concert features Laura Jackson’s American Salute to honor the holiday. This is a free event, followed by fireworks.
South Lake Tahoe Firework Display, July 4
The American Pyrotechnics Association will be displaying spectacular fireworks beginning at 9:45 pm. The show will be visible throughout town in South Lake and has even been deemed one of the Nation’s top firework displays! Some of the best front row viewing spots include Edgewood-Tahoe and Nevada Beach.
Reno Aces Games & Fireworks, July 4-7
The Reno Aces begin a 4-game homestand on Independence Day with firework displays following the games on both the 4th and 5th. Head on down to Greater Nevada Field to cheer on the home team against the Sacramento River Cats this long weekend!
