Discovery Museum

This museum is a true treasure in Reno. Originally funded to become a children’s museum, this gem quickly became a world class science center. Through hands-on galleries and ever-changing exhibits, your children are sure to have a blast. Some of our favorite exhibits include Sue the T-Rex, Under the Stars and The Cloud Climber.

Animal Ark

This non-profit wildlife sanctuary is located 38 miles North of Reno.  Since 1981, Animal Ark has provided a safe haven for non-releasable wildlife and has been a gift of education for our community. After-hours events are offered including “Ark in the Dark”, a flashlight guided tour showcasing the Ark’s nocturnal animals.  Kids of all ages will enjoy day (or evening) with animals!
