Why Move to Reno?
Written by: Farah Vitale
Reno has blossomed into an amazing city filled with community events, concerts, and exciting things to do. With the increase in job opportunities and immensely beautiful scenery, people are flocking into our city.
All Four Seasons
Enjoy a warm summer, breezy spring, cool fall and snowy winter. The weather is always changing in Reno, giving you the chance to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities all year long.
Short ride from Reno to Lake Tahoe
A hot summer day is the perfect time to head up to the beaches of Lake Tahoe. Each beach is unique and makes for a beautiful day well spent. Afterwards, take your friends on a sunny hike near whichever shore you choose. When it’s snowing in the mountains, grab your ski and snowboarding gear and head up to Mt Rose, North Star, Squaw Valley or Heavenly Ski Resort. Get your passes ready, Mt Rose is already open!
Art everywhere
Reno is known for the Nevada Museum of Art but that’s not all. The town is filling the streets and sidewalks with art. This includes the Gateway’s success at bringing Burning Man sculptures into a Playa Park downtown.
Food, Food, Food
Reno is booming with healthy, local eateries and people are all about it. Some hot spots include Campo, with authentic Italian cuisine, Great Full Gardens, with vegan options and Rawbry, with juices made with organic fruits and veggies.
Riverwalk District
The Riverwalk District is perfect for a beautiful stroll, dining on great food and even wine tasting! The Riverwalk district has a wine walk the third Saturday of every month. During summer its a great place to ride your bike or float the river with friends. The annual River Festival happens every May with events that include a new river roll competition, paddleboard races, kayak races and boatercross competitions.
