Make the most of Fall and take a colorful hike this season! There are some fun and eye-catching hikes to take on in the Lake Tahoe area. Before the snow comes, be sure to take your family and friends out on a fun hike with an amazing view.

Hope Valley Trail

This 4-mile trail is elevated and is bursting with fall colors. The trail is great year round for hiking, walking, trail running and snow shoeing. The trail is fairly easy and has a river. It’s located in the Toiyabe National Forest near South Lake Tahoe.

Rabe Meadows Trails

This easy 1.5 mile trail is decked with gold and yellow fall colors. The peaceful stroll has no snow and is perfect for a relaxing day. There’s a beautiful view of  alpine or lake during the trail. The location is adjacent to Stateline on South shore.

This 8-mile trail has a beautiful scenic view of the lake it surrounds. From different viewpoints you can watch the reflection of foliage falling into the lake. The trail leads down to the lake and has an amazing view of Mount Tallic. The trail is  in South Lake Tahoe.

Marlette Lake Trails

A more difficult trail, the Marlette Lake trail is 5.8 miles and it quite the scenic view. Although the trail is challenging, it passes through aspen groves and meadows along the way. The trail is located in the Toiyabe National Forest near South Lake Tahoe.
