Local Farmer’s Markets Brighten up the Summer

With 4 new locations, this summer is sure to be full of locally grown produce.

Local produce and locally ranched meats have been an important staple to the Reno food and cultural scene for a while. Local Chef’s and Restaurateur’s rely on the farm-to-table notion to put fresh and local foods on patrons’ plates, and NevadaGrown is making sure this is available to all this summer.

Reno-Sparks is introducing 4 new events to the Summer Farmer’s Markets this year, and each event must have at least one local Nevada grower.

Already underway, locals can grab the fresh produce directly at farmer’s markets that are happening all across Reno and Sparks this summer 2015, from Summit Mall to Midtown to Rail City. Be sure to come out and support your local growers while having a fabulous time in the gorgeous Northern NV weather! Each event must have at least one Nevada grower, and each vendor must be able to verify that they personally grew their products, or are selling for another local farm (and must be labeled as such).

Local farmers markets are happening all across Northern Nevada. Below is what’s happening in Reno and Sparks, but you can click here for the entire schedule of events.
