Written By: Farah Vitale
Here’s your chance to be a food critic for a night! On Dec. 7 at 6 p.m., Campo is hosting “You Be the Food Critic” at their downtown location. Everyone participating tries 5 different family style dishes and votes for their favorite. The winning dish will be added to their winter menu. Campo executive chef, David Holman and RGJ Media food and drink editor, Johnathan L. Wright, will host the event.
This is a chance for the chefs to cater to the taste bud’s of their town.
The event costs $45 and gives the true foodies and pasta lovers a chance to chime in. We’re all experienced food critics and it’s a lot of fun. There’s no one better to give their opinion on your menu than your regulars. This is a chance for Campo to connect and appreciate their avid customers. It’s a great chance to inspire new ideas. With many more unique, healthy and local spots opening all over town, the competition is only growing. There’s Wild River Grille, Old Granite Eatery, and Grate Full Gardens opened up a new location in South Reno. The previous owner of Campo, Chef Mark Estee recently opened Liberty Food & Wine Exchange right next to Campo. Each place provides something special and fits guests’ dietary needs.
Campo’s success and popularity is tremendous and. It led the restaurant to open a new Sparks location. Each location is unique and offers different appetizers, entrees, pizzas and pastas. It’s safe to say you’ll just have to go to both.
