Happy Chinese New Year! Be sure to eat out at some of these great local restaurants in town for the holiday. Chinese New Year began Jan. 28 and goes until Feb. 15th. Gather the troops and try some tasty Chinese cuisine.

 

P.F. Chang’s

There’s more than just Chinese food! P.F. Chang’s will continue handing out red envelopes until Feb. 6th that hold a surprise.  Inside, restaurant guests will find a special Chinese New Year offer on dining. P.F. Chang’s will also give away thousands of dollars in free gift cards and a free airfare for two to Chicago, New York, or San Francisco through its “Choose Your Chinatown Sweepstakes.” It will include spending money, two nights in a hotel, and a $100 P.F. Chang’s gift card.

 

The Buffet at the Eldorado

Feast from your favorites! The Buffet in the Eldorado casino and resort will feature crispy roast pig every night, peking duck, prime rib, wok braised crab, Chinese dumplings, noodles and so much more. The special menu will be available from Thursday, Feb. 16 through Sunday, Feb. 19. Prices are $29.99 for adults and $14.99 for children 4 to 10. The buffet opens at 4 p.m.

 

CHI

This cozy Chinese restaurant inside the Peppermill Casino, Chef Benny Tsang will be creating some special dishes just for Chinese New Year! This includes fried whole fish (a classic New Year dish) with black vinegar and sweet and sour sauce, stir-fried scallop and jumbo prawn with asparagus, and whole chicken poached in rose wine and soy sauce. So many dishes to try!
