Homes Built in and Around Nature

The newest trend in luxury development is making sure the natural beauty of the surroundings is highlighted.

Here at Parc Forêt at Montrêux, it has always been a desire and a necessity to keep as many of the gorgeous, tall pines that surround our homes and to even make them focal points of the architectural designs if at all possible. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty in the nature around us, and it’s easy to understand why other’s are taking the same steps to preserve and highlight the beauty of the natural landscapes.

The Wall Street Journal showcases a few different areas where homes are highlighting the natural beauty of their surroundings such as San Clemente in Southern California and Serenbe southwest of Atlanta, Georgia. These areas, while naturally stunning, are part of the culture that believes golf course communities are falling by the wayside as the sport declines. At Montrêux however, we do not see this happening.

The gorgeously wooded community of Montreux does not make people sacrifice when it comes to desire of location. Why choose between an area and community that celebrates the natural beauty of the landscape and a golf course community? Our Jack Nicklaus Signature course with its sprawling greens is surrounded by tall pines and the most stunning mountain views you can imagine. Probably one of the reasons we’ve been home to the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship (formerly the Reno-Tahoe Open) for the last 17 years.

In Parc Foret at Montreux, we strive to keep as many of our lovely tall pines as is structurally possible. Driving through our amazing neighborhood it is clear that the trees act not only as stunning backdrops for our homes, but as part of the natural beauty of the home itself. With pines standing tall in the center of our courtyards to pines built into our amazing landscaping, Parc Forêt at Montrêux has been setting a standard of natural beauty from day one.
