Apple Reveals Bigger Store

Written By: Farah Vitale

Apple is changing the way you shop for their products. They reopened the Reno Apple store at the Summit Sierra Mall. Now the store has classes and lessons for both hardware and software. There are basic product tutorials and Studio Hours for working on multimedia projects. There will also be a special “Teacher Tuesdays”, a series of lessons for teachers to make the most of Apple products in their classroom.

Apple now calls their locations “town squares” instead of stores.

The concept is for people to go inside and see new products, take part in classes and connect with others. It’s the intro of Apple 2.0. They want customers to understand and explore a range of their products.  These newer stores, as well as renovated locations, feature open layouts with product “avenues”, all new display furniture and a special area for “Today at Apple” sessions.

They are also getting ready for the release of the iPhone 8! It will have a more advanced camera, wireless charging and an all glass design. It’s the most durable glass ever in a smartphone. It will have a color‑matched, aerospace‑grade aluminum band. There will be new space gray, silver, and gold finishes. The redone and all-new Reno location will have special hours on Sept. 22 for the launch of the iPhone 8. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Normal hours for the Summit location are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
