Steak ‘n Shake is coming to South Reno right before the fourth of July! This will be the second location for the franchise in the area. The first location was located in the North Valleys area, about nine miles from downtown. The new Steak ‘n Shake location in Reno will join about 600 franchise stores for the company across the United States and worldwide. Reno is seeing more and more franchises as the city grows.

Although the south Reno location is the second store for the franchise in the area, it will be the first store for the Vetters since they took over the franchise rights from the previous owner. They will most likely be opening more stores, maybe in Carson City and Sparks. Another high profile franchise, just like Chick-Fil-A is choosing Reno as the perfect place to expand business.

The biggest challenge will be dealing with a potential mass of customers. Steak ’n Shake makes its food to order, so the process can take a lot longer compared to fast food restaurants. The store’s milkshakes are made by hand and served on frozen glasses. They are more a of a diner and less of a fast food chain. But that’s also what makes Steak n’Shake special. Everything is made fresh and with care, making the line worth it. The store is on 470 South Meadows Parkway and opens July 3rd.
