Your UBER is Arriving Now
UBER is back in Reno, and this time it’s here to stay.
To all the eager Reno-ites that downloaded the Uber app in hopes of finding a ride home, the time has come! Whether you are heading downtown, catching a flight at Reno-Tahoe International airport, or just needing a safe ride home, Uber has got you covered. Once you download the app, you can see what UberX drivers are in your area, what the car and driver look like as well as your driver’s name. Once you are ready for your ride just pinpoint your location and an Uber driver will be at your location in minutes. Using the app, you can track the distance of the car and even let your friends know your whereabouts.
What to Expect
It’s Convenient: After pinpointing your location, you need only wait a few short minutes before your driver arrives. (Some even have free bottled water for their riders!)
It’s Safe: When searching for your perfect Uber, you can check out car type and year, as well as the driver’s name and photograph. The app will show you contact information of your driver as well as the license plate number. If you are meeting friends somewhere or leaving them somewhere, the app has a feature that allows your to share your trip information with them as well so that they know you have arrived at your destination safely.
It’s Simple: After downloading the Uber app, you open an Uber account (linked to a debit/credit card). This means there is no more need to carry cash and there is no waiting around for the driver to go through the arduous process of running your card at the end of your trip! Hop in the car, let the driver know your destination, then hop out upon arrival and your account will be billed and you will receive an emailed receipt of your trip!
